Vintage: 2007
The Dima semi-automated stencil printer HS-100 has flexibility and accuracy as it’s key aspects, supported by a rigid frame where the motor-driven print head is guided over linear bearings. All parameters can be programmed by the Windows-based user interface, offering optimum settings for every individual PCB.
Teaching the correct position of the board is done in the self-teaching mode of the implemented ESI vision system. Once the system knows the correct position of the board, it will alarm the operator when the position is not within the tolerance. At the same time, the software will instruct the operator in which direction (X, Y, rotation) the PCB has to be moved. The maximum tolerance can be programmed between 1 and 100µm. As soon as the board is within tolerance, a window will indicate that the printing process can be started.
Stencil frames of up to 585 x 585mm will be accepted, maximum print area is 450 x 400mm allowing board sizes varying from 40 x 40 to up to 520 x 400mm. The machine accuracy is ±25µm @ 3-sigma while the repeatability is ±10µm @ 3-sigma, enabling printing for a pitch of 0.3mm.
The PC-controlled system is equipped with 15-in TFT monitor and two CCD cameras, scaled PCB table for repeatable board placement, Mylar foil for test printing and board alignment and magnetic locating pins, board supports and software-controlled vacuum units.
Optional features are a squeegee starter set (two holders and four blades), a puck-pack adapter and the Under-stencil cleaning unit.
